By having partnership & coordination with the World Food Programme and other government sector entities, to entrust sustainable livelihood and urgent food & nutrition needs by introducing new guidelines, raise standard of Knowledge and evidence, provide technical and professional competencies and financial assistance to the target population to ensure sustainable recovery and raise quality of living standard
Role of Partnership Secretariat for WFP Cooperation
Facilitate to Execute policies and joint decisions through implementing agencies and negotiating with implementing agencies for smooth execution, contribution etc
Manage the allocated approved resources by the parties and facilitate for execution based on the joint decisions
Provide guidance and facilitation, strengthening implementing agency capacity for execution in line with joint procedure
Act as Secretariat to undertake regular monitoring and provide back stop for continued execution, conducting steering committee, review meetings, reporting etc
Ensure commitment of the implementing agencies are in place through ownership driven approach and counterpart contributions
Demonstrate and integrate the national policies, priorities, mandate of the WFP and the Government. (obtain clarification from WFP & PS, if necessary for execution on decisions)
Manage central warehouses, port clearance, and food transportation.
Provide government cost-sharing in line with WFP resources.
Perform other tasks related food security subject assigned by parties
