The Internal Affairs Unit of our Ministry was initiated on 09.04.2025, in line with the launch of the National Anti-Corruption Action Plan 2025-2029, held at the Colombo International Conference Hall under the patronage of His Excellency the President.

Accordingly, the Internal Affairs Unit of the Ministry was established of under the leadership of the Secretary of the Ministry.

Two training programs to sensitize officers on the role of the Internal Affairs Unit established under the Ministry, identify and simplify systemic bottlenecks and assessment the risk of corruption were held on the dates of 2025.06.19 and 2025.06.26.

Practical workshops on preparation of the Citizens' Charter, identification and simplification of systemic bottlenecks and assessment of corruption risks were held at the Rural Development Training and Research Institutes of Borella and Pilimatalawa on 22.07.2025, 28.07.2025, 29.07.2025, 30.07.2025, 31.07.2025, 01.08.2025, and 04.08.2025.
